My name is Ady Sanchez and I am a Filipina spending her month in Palu, Indonesia.
I am a fourth year college student, taking up Bachelors of Education, majoring in English. My current alma mater is Angeles University Foundation, which is found in Angeles City, Pampanga.
I am lucky enough to be chosen as one of the two students that were sent here in Palu for the Southeast Asia Teacher Program (SEATeacher) by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), wherein universities from all over southeast Asia exchange students for their practicums and cultural immersion. This is the program’s 8th run. It is our university’s first time to participate in this program and I am grateful that I have become a part of it.
As for me, I’ve always wanted to become a teacher. The reason why eludes me until now. Maybe I have this innate need to share what I know to others. I also like seeing progress in people, for this gives me hope in life. Change is always good, I reckon.
This journey is yet another change I am excited to face. I am so ready to learn and experience everything that Palu has to offer.
